About the Workshop:
Travel sketching or holiday sketching is a great way to record your travel experiences. This is a one-day workshop, where you’ll learn how to sketch an architectural piece from a photograph.

What will you learn in the workshop?
Nowadays, even travel has become fast-paced. So sketching at locations rather than clicking photos on your phone slows you down and allows you to truly see the beauty of the scene. 
Hence, this workshop has been carefully curated to help you record your travel experiences in the best way possible. You will learn:

1. How to sketch while travelling
2. How to select a monument or subject to sketch
3. The value of time
4. The basic composition of artworks
5. How to maintain a travel journal

Flow of the session:

1. A brief introduction about the artist and warm-up exercises to kick-start the session
2. How to compose a picture through various techniques
3. Step-by-step demonstration of the complete artwork along with an interactive session with participants to clear doubts and share tricks and tips regarding travel sketching
4. Feedback and review of artworks made by the participants

Materials required:

1. Pencils
2. Papers - Cartridge sheets or watercolour sheets
3. Watercolours either tubes or cakes or colour pencils
4. Water containers or Palette
5. Old kitchen towel or tissues
6. Black gel pens or water-resistant fine liner pens

About the artist:
Hemali (on Instagram @productivitytheory) is a prolific Urban Sketching artist based in Pune. She has been teaching Urban Sketching for the past 3 years. She started documenting her travels through a Travel Sketching Journal as the medium of sketching allows her to slow down and experience the place in a whole new light. Travel Sketching is a highly rewarding and calming process for her.

• The internet Gods are not always in our favour so please allow for minor network issues and interruptions during the event
• There is a possibility that the time and date of the event may be rescheduled due to internet connectivity issues. In this case, the artist will share the revised date and/or time at the earliest.
• One ticket grants access to the live stream for only one screen at a time
• The ticket is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged, cancelled or returned once bought. No refunds on purchased ticket are possible even in case of any rescheduling
• Recording or uploading of this stream is strictly prohibited
• Dialogues cannot be held accountable If your network connection is not optimal. However, if the problem is faced by a majority of the participants, the event may be rescheduled
