EDITING is a meticulous job. You might have heard about the adage that EDITING cannot be TAUGHT but can only be learned through PRACTICE. So, you might as well ask what is the benefit of attending any editing workshop. But there is a small caveat to the above wisdom, even for practicing an art like painting, you need to first learn how to hold a pencil.
We are launching this EDITING WORKSHOP with exactly the same idea in mind, giving you tools and a little bit of inspiration for furthering your practice in the art of editing.

What Will You Learn:
We will be covering materials in editing both from a THEORETICAL perspective and PRACTICAL tool-oriented perspective. Most of the ideas about different types of cut, continuity editing in the theoretical domain will be covered and on the software side, we will be using DA VINCI RESOLVE for conducting a practical editing session. In addition to the video editing side, we will be covering audio editing aspects as well.

Prerequisites:

• Any 16gb+ RAM computer for a smooth experience (Even Computers with 8gb RAM can be used)
• A free version of Da Vinci Resolve 16 should be installed (Download Link)
• A receptive mind :P

About the Artist: 
Arunesh Nandan is an avid reader and cinema connoisseur. Arunesh developed his interest in technical aspects of cinema back in his IIT days. After completing a comprehensive course in Filmmaking from Open-Film School, Arunesh dived right into the "Art-of-Editing". Having edited a number of short films, he has also extrapolated his expertise into the Sound Designing and Handling.
