Block printing is a traditional Indian art form of using wooden blocks to print on paper and various types of fabric. Block printing is one of the most interesting and creative art forms for all age groups. This workshop is an introduction where you can use a wide range of blocks from traditional, geometric, abstract and popular culture patterns. Duration - 2 hours Pooja Gokul will be talking about the details of this technique, from natural dying to handmade wooden blocks and commercially viable colors that are used today. She also has professional starter kits which will be available at the workshop. In the hands on workshop, participants will be printing on a stole. The colors are permanent on cloth and we provide a range of colors that you can choose from at the workshop. All materials will be provided, including stoles to print on. Kindly bring an apron to wear. Registrations will be on a first come first serve basis. Walk-ins/spot registrations will be charged 100/- extra.
