Block printing is a traditional Indian art form of using wooden blocks to print on paper and various types of fabric. Block printing is one of the most interesting and creative art forms for all age groups. This workshop is an introduction where you can use a wide range of blocks from traditional, geometric, abstract and popular culture patterns. Duration - 2 hours Pooja Gokul will be talking about the details of this technique, from natural dying to handmade wooden blocks and commercially viable colours that are used today. She also has professional starter kits which will be available at the workshop. In the hands on workshop, participants will be printing on a stole. The colours are permanent on cloth and we provide a range of colours that you can choose from at the workshop. All materials will be provided, including stoles to print on.
