Pastels are super fun to colour with! They are also a versatile medium; soft pastels are easily blend-able. They can be blended with fingers (if you're an artist who likes getting their hands dirty), a blending stump, or a cloth. 

Unlike in painting, where paints are first mixed on a palette and then applied on the canvas or paper, soft pastels are mixed directly on the paper. This makes them appear wonderfully bright and well-defined.

What will this workshop be about?

You will learn several techniques to create gorgeous pastel art. Understand and recreate the tonal effects, finger colour blending, shadows & textured shading along with the host. You will be guided and given feedback at every step. 

This 3-hour beginner-friendly workshop will cover the following:
- Introduction to soft pastels and the required art supplies
- Demonstrations and an explanation of every step taken during a drawing
- Creation of a soft pastel artwork

Do I need to bring any art supplies for this workshop? 

Nope, all art materials are included in the ticket price. They will be provided by your host and artists, Diksha Kothari. However, please carry a writing pad and a pen with you. At the end of the workshop, you can carry your artwork home with you.

- Wearing a mask is a must. Participants will not be allowed entry without a mask.
