Coming up @ Dialogues JP Nagar, Modern Macrame workshop! Come join us for this traditional textile workshop on 18th January from 11 AM to 2:00 PM. Threads! Knots knots!!! About Macrame -how an ancient fiber art has resurfaced as a beautiful craft, the art of knotting string in pattern’s to make decorative articles believed to have originated in 13th Century which later became popular in the Victorian era. What you learn @ the workshop -basics of different types of knots and start working with a Macrame piece and create design and pattern of your choice. Experience the native American culture and make your own Dream Catcher or a Bohemian styled wall hanging. Using macrame techniques. Experience our workshop which cover’s fundamental knots that can be used to create decorative and functional shapes to adorn your homes with your designs. Materials shall be provided at workshop. No prior experience required. Who can join? Anyone above 10+ years Please Note: Registrations will be on a first come first serve basis. Walk-ins/spot registrations will be charged 100/- extra. Learn a little more about this fascinating history of Macrame from Sunitha Sharma who shall be guiding you thru the story and teaching in detail the techniques at the workshop.
