“Ek Raag Anek Roop” is a Raag based series of concerts initiated by Shrutiupasan to educate, promote, popularize Indian classical music and Indian music therapy. For the first time we are going to present an evening Raag Bhupali and its application in different genres. Bhupali is a pentatonic raag, with 5 notes ascending and descending. A similar raag is present in Carnatic classical music called Mohanam Its one of the most popular raagas used in Bollywood. Some of the popular songs in this raag are Chudavi ka chand, Pankh hote tho, parts of the song Tujhe yaad kar liya, sung by Arjit Singh. Come! relax and enjoy Raag music Artists Vocal: Asha Ganapathy She is an AIR graded artist in Classical and Devotional. Initiated learning from Sri. Mahesh Khatiriya, then from Vidwan. Ananth Bhagawath. Currently she is under the tutelage of Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty. Inspired by her Gurus, she is the founder of Shrutiupasan. Harmonium: Vinyas Shreedhar He hails from a small town Sagar in Shimoga district. Took hindustani vocal classes from Vidwan Ananth Bhagawath for 6 years. Love for harmonium was attracted since childhood and hence started learning harmonium from Dr Ravindra Katoti from past 8 yrs. Tabla: Venu Aachar Born at Shira, and bought up at Chickmaglur from a musical background family. Learnt Tabla under the guidance of Santosh Hegde and also been learning Latin Percussions from Pramath Kiran. He has Performed at Kaalanrava with Symphony Band. Well versed with music instruments like Tabla, Cajon, Dholak, Rhythm Pad, Bass tape. Manjira: Priya Ganapathy An ardent music lover and listener. She has been the source of inspiration and motivation for her daughter Asha. Along with Asha she has performed at various places in and around Bangalore. Registrations will be on a first come first serve basis. Walk-ins/spot registrations will be charged 100/- extra.
