India has a rich tradition of folk arts. The custodians of which are the many tribes that live in the interiors of various states. Warli art is a beautiful folk art of Maharashtra. The most important aspect of the painting is that it does not depict mythological characters or images of deities, but depicts social life. Participate in the Warli Art Workshop, get a chance to appreciate the art form and create you very own Warli Art masterpiece using acrylic colours on cartridge sheets.

Fees: Rs 1700 per participant (inclusive of art material)

Take Away: One complete painting (A3 size)

About the Facilitator: Trishna Patnaik, a Bsc (in Life Sciences) and MBA (in Marketing) by qualification but an artist by choice. A self-taught artist based in Mumbai, Trishna has been practising art for over 14 years now. After she had a professional stint in various reputed corporates, she realised that she wanted to do something more meaningful. She found her true calling in her passion, that is painting. Trishna is now a full-time professional painter pursuing her passion to create and explore to the fullest. She says, "It’s a road less travelled but a journey that I look forward to everyday." Trishna also conducts painting workshops across Mumbai.
